Photographing weddings is hard. The moments happen fast and there are no do-overs. You have to be on your game all the time and have the skill to take amazing pictures in every lighting condition. You have to work hard. You have to be able to perform under pressure. I love that challenge.
I am tempted to go on a rant about hiring a seasoned professional wedding photographer instead of a beginner or family friend but I will hold my tongue. :-)

I know it's a cliché but your wedding day really is one of the most important days of your life. I am so honored that couples ask me be a part of that. I get to be a part of intimate, emotional moments. That picture on the left is a perfect example. The love and emotion those two shared in that moment was amazing. I am forever grateful that I got to witness it.

I think wedding photography is important. Weddings are historical events and it's important to document them well. A job I take very seriously. The day goes by so fast and there is no way you can see and experience everything that happens. I love that I get to wrap up your whole wedding day and give it back to you to experience again and again. Then someday your kids can experience it too!

Photographing weddings is a constant reminder how fast time goes by. It helps me live in the moment with my kids and cherish this time while they are little while at the same time looking forward to the joy they will feel when they do find the person they want to spend the rest of their life with.
The reverse is also true...being a father has made me a better wedding photographer.

Q:What is your style?
A: I value a very unobtrusive approach to photography. My goal is to capture you and your day as naturally as possible. Light direction is better than stiff posing. I love to capture the inherent emotion of a wedding day. Those little moments that happen when you think nobody is looking. That is the good stuff!
Q:Do we get the digital files?
A: Absolutely! You will get all the final, full resolution, edited photos delivered in JPEG format.
Q: How long does it take to get our photos back?
A: Typical turnaround time is 6-8 weeks
Q: How many photos do we get?
A: Every wedding is different but most couples are walking away with 500-700 photos.
Q: Do you do custom collections?
A: You bet! No two weddings are exactly alike and I am happy to create a custom collection to meet your needs.
